PC-- TRICX.

FLASH DISC
if u hv a flasdisc chances are tht uv probably come across the error message tht "device is write protected,
WHAT THT ACTUALLY MEANS!
Write protection is any physical mechanism tht prevents modification or
erasure of valuable data on a device.

IT ALWAYS DOESNT HAVE TO BE A BAD THING
write protection is usually triggered by two things, a physical lock on
the device or change in the window registry settings
this can be either done by u to prevent pipo stealing ur stuph or at times
its done by viruses which modify ur registry

HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM
PHYSICAL SOLUTION
lyk i said earlier some times its just a lock on the device itsself which
just needs to b moved in the right direction. so inspect ur device thouroughly
to see if it has tht lock them move it it the opposite direction and
vuala! ur done

WINDOWS REGISTRY SOLUTION
so if even after moving the lock ur still facing the zib or ur device does nt
have a lock then most definately there cud be a virus tht has changed the
registry settings. so to change them back do the dew(sori i mean do this)

#1)Open Start Menu >> Run, type regedit and press Enter,
this will open the registry editor.

#2)Navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

the 1st tym i posted this some pipo cud to find StorageDevicePolicies if thts the
case them we ill have to create it ok?

CREATING THE BATCH FILE
so if from step 2 u cant see StorageDevicePolicies we shall create a batch program
to add it.

#a)open notepad and past in this code:
cd\
reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies" /t Reg_dword /v WriteProtect /f /d 1

#b)then save it as add.bat and run it.

#c)wen u repeat the procedure above up to step 2 ul now see StorageDevicePolicies

u can also just download tht batch file from here:

http://www.troublefixers.com/wp-content/uploads/Miscellaneous/add.bat

and run it:

CONTINUING NOW WTH STEP 3
#3)Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0
in the Value Data Box and press OK button

#4) Exit Registry, restart your computer and then again re-connect your USB pen
drive on your computer.

THTS IT...UR DONE!

Remember knowledge is a gift from God bt what u choose to do wth it
determines if u are a good or bad person.
